Ayahuasca retreats at Ayaselva

Much more than the ceremonies themselves — preparation, personal guidance, rest, sharing, nature, and integration.

7 ayahuasca ceremonies

12-Day Ayahuasca Retreat

The 12-day retreat includes 7 ayahuasca ceremonies. This program gives more time to go deeper into the process, rest between ceremonies, and receive more personal guidance. A good option for guests who want a fuller retreat experience.

7-Day Ayahuasca Retreat

The 7-day retreat includes 4 ayahuasca ceremonies. This shorter program is created for guests who feel called to work with ayahuasca but have less time available. It still offers a complete and carefully guided experience.

Step by step

From first contact to arrival

A quiet street in Tamshiyacu at sunset, near the river — the last stretch of the journey to the center.

If you feel drawn to a retreat at Ayaselva, you can contact us in several ways. We always plan a call together to provide more information and discuss your personal history, so we can determine whether ayahuasca is something worth pursuing. We encourage people to be open with us, so the advice we give is truly helpful. In some cases, drinking ayahuasca is not advisable due to certain medications, medical conditions, or a person’s psychological state.

It is wise to arrive one day before the retreat starts, to rest after your travels. We pick you up from Iquitos airport and bring you to your hotel. The next morning we travel together from Iquitos to Tamshiyacu by boat, and then the final part to our center. We do all this traveling together, so you feel guided and supported from the moment you arrive. After arrival, we introduce you to our team and go over the program in detail.

Accommodation

Your own private space in the jungle

Our guests enjoy their own spacious private room, equipped with electricity for charging devices. To encourage mindful internet usage, we have chosen not to provide WiFi in the rooms themselves. However, fast internet is available in the main building for guests who wish to make calls with their loved ones.

“The accommodation is 5-star as far as ayahuasca retreats in the jungle go — electricity, plumbing, and comfortable clean rooms.”

During the retreat

During your ayahuasca retreat: guidance, sharing, and rest

Both individual and group meetings are held to guide our guests. After each ceremony, we hold a sharing circle the following day. This gives guests time to rest first and then reflect with more clarity. The curandero shares his insights from the ceremony and offers practical suggestions to support integration.

We believe the time between ceremonies is just as important as the ceremonies themselves. This is where many insights settle and become clearer. Because we work with a maximum of six guests, there is space for close guidance, individual attention, and a calm retreat rhythm.

Apart from the ceremonies

  • Beautiful jungle walks
  • Medicinal flower baths
  • Meditation sessions
  • A traditional fire ceremony
  • Learning to cook ayahuasca
  • Sharing circles after each ceremony

Integration

Bringing the insights into your life

Integration means bringing all the insights, discoveries, and experiences from the retreat into your own life, so you can become a happier, more empathetic, and more grounded person. This process often starts during the retreat — through group meetings, personal conversations, and quiet moments of reflection.

Our care does not end when the retreat is finished. We encourage our guests to stay in touch with us, so we can support them in integrating their experiences into daily life.
